Nuke a City Patch Notes Players Actually Felt

Sparse official bullets, a May crowd, and the systems that stayed live after the cadence slowed.

Nuke a City Patch Notes

Nuclear Fun does not publish a tidy Steam-style patch archive for Nuke a City. The Roblox listing updates a timestamp; Discord pings are uneven; X @jett_str is a personal account, not a patch bot. This page is therefore honest: it is what players felt, cross-checked against the live loop, not a reconstructed 1.0 / 1.1 / 1.2 table we do not have.

The date spine is on the Updates Hub. Code strings are on codes. If you want the next official sentence as soon as it exists, watch the Discord announcements channel rather than a thumbnail that says “HUGE PATCH” over footage of the same nuclear dropper.

What we will not invent

  • Numbered patch IDs that never appeared in public.
  • Balance percents for droppers that nobody posted.
  • A list of “nerfed fuse chain from 22 to 18” without a developer line.
  • Expired-code tables. As of September 2026 there is still no confirmed expired list; BOOM remains the active string.

If a future Discord post names numbers, they will land here with a date. Until then, treat influencer “patch recaps” as opinions.

Launch kit that is still the game

Shipped 16 March 2026 and still the skeleton in September:

  • Simulation / Tycoon, free-to-play, 6-player servers, no VIP servers.
  • Personal base, shared city, Control to launch a 100 EXP rocket.
  • Offline explosive growth on the official description.
  • Rebirth statue as a late cash sink that wipes machines, cash, fuse chain, and layout for Research Points (about 5 per wipe in player reports).
  • Research shop for money multipliers, walk speed, more explosives, and higher totem / potion caps.
  • Machine ladder: free manual dropper, fountain, fuse chain (high cap around the low-20s), poison dropper, nuclear dropper as the late standout.
  • Plot expand as the gate that makes nuclear, the statue, and poison purchasable. Early nuclear around 85,000 cash, statue around 1.5 million, in player reports.
  • Dropper upgrades that go very high (players talk about 1000). Rocket levels around 19 max reported. Explosive visual tiers up to about 24 reported.

None of that required a mid-year manifesto. People who joined in April and people who joined in August are on the same loop.

Codes: the one public “drop” that stuck

The player-felt patch for a lot of the audience was not a machine. It was BOOM. Through spring and summer 2026, codes sites kept reprinting the same all-caps string for Playtime Points (50 or 100 depending on the writer) plus a Crate. Two redeem doors — ABX top-right and Shop at the bottom — stayed in the client.

What that means as “patch notes”:

  • The code UI was not removed during the quiet months.
  • New strings did not become a weekly live-ops drumbeat.
  • Videos that stacked NUCLEAR / RELEASE / CITY on top of BOOM did not become a confirmed table.

If Nuclear Fun posts a second code, it will hit Discord and X first, then this wiki. Do not treat a May compilation video as a patch from this week.

Research, totems, and why rebirth still matters

After the first week, the felt update is research, not a new map. Players who delayed the statue sat on huge cash and a max-feeling rocket, then discovered multipliers would have shortened every later run. Players who prestiged the moment the statue appeared burned a plot that was still climbing.

Totems and potions sit at the far end of that shop: you spend Research Points to raise caps, then you actually use the items. A mid-2026 “where is the content” argument often ignored that the content was a longer research treadmill, not a new biome.

No public note gave us a totem nerf table. If your cap looks different after a relog, check whether you bought the research row, not whether a silent hotfix halved it. When a real cap change is posted, it will be quoted here instead of paraphrased from a Discord argument.

Nuclear dropper as the unofficial mid-game patch

For a lot of plots, “the update” was simply affording nuclear. Plot expand, ~85k cash, then one machine that outpaces the rest of the pad. YouTube “starting over” videos from April 2026 already treated nuclear as the only upgrade that mattered after that point.

That is still true. A quiet client bump that does not touch nuclear’s relative power will not feel like a patch to anyone past expand. A bump that broke nuclear would be all over Discord in an hour. As of this writing, players still call it the late-game standout.

Idle growth: the patch that is a feature line

“Your Explosives Grow Offline” is on the Roblox description. That line is the closest thing the game has to a permanent patch note. It is why auto-farm scripts that keep a client open overnight are solving a problem the listing already solved. It is why coming back after a day still has a fill waiting.

Idle does not launch for you. Idle does not rebirth for you. Idle does not redeem BOOM. Those three still need a session. If a future patch ever disabled offline growth, it would be a bigger deal than a new crate cosmetic — and it would be documented here immediately because the official description would have to change.

Late August 2026 listing bump

The Roblox universe timestamp moved again around 30 August 2026, and again on 3 September 2026. Nuclear Fun did not publish a numbered steam-style log for those bumps. Discord remains the place for sneak peeks and crate art. What players still feel on the pad is the same skeleton: droppers, 100 EXP, Control, plot expand into nuclear, fuse as a side wait, totems as placed multipliers, offline fill, and rebirth into research. If a future announcement names a new machine or a totem cap change, it will be quoted here. Until then, do not treat an August thumbnail as a new biome.

Mid-2026 cadence, in one paragraph

CCU peaked 2 May 2026. After that, outside coverage noted slower updates and the team talking about other projects. The game did not go unlisted. Visits kept climbing toward the high tens of millions. Public patch text got sparse. That combination — live game, thin notes — is why this page reads like a systems recap instead of a table.

Check the Updates Hub for the dates, this page for the felt systems, and Discord for the next primary-source sentence. If someone dumps a fake 2.0 changelog in your server, compare it to the loop you can still play: droppers, 100 EXP, Control, cash, rebirth, idle. Anything that contradicts that loop is fan fiction until Nuclear Fun says it.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Where are the official numbered patch notes?

There is no public numbered archive. Nuclear Fun posts unevenly on Discord and X. This page records player-felt systems instead of inventing 1.1 / 1.2 tables.

Did a patch add more codes?

Not as a confirmed list. BOOM is still the active string as of September 2026, with no verified expired table. Live codes stay on the Codes Hub.

Was the nuclear dropper added later?

It is part of the plot-expand shop players have been buying since the growth months (around 85,000 cash in reports). Treat it as core content, not a rumored 2026 summer expansion.

Did idle growth get removed?

No. Offline explosive growth is still on the official Roblox description. Launches, rebirth, and code redeem still need a live session.

How do I hear about a real hotfix?

Watch the official Discord and @jett_str, then come back to the Updates Hub. Do not trust undated screenshots of a “HUGE PATCH.”
