How to Redeem Nuke a City Codes
ABX icon, Shop box, case-sensitive BOOM, and what to do when the game says invalid.
Nuke a City hides the code box in two places that both work. You do not need Robux, a VIP server (those are disabled), or a friend on the shared city. You need a loaded 6-player server, the string BOOM in all caps, and a UI that is not covered by another panel.
The live list lives on the Codes Hub. This page is only the clicks, the case rules, and the timing versus rebirth. If you want the economy of Playtime Points versus cash, jump to code rewards after you have actually claimed the Crate.
Before you type anything
- Join Nuke Your City from the official Roblox listing. The wiki brand is Nuke a City; the experience name on Roblox is Nuke Your City by Nuclear Fun.
- Wait until your personal base finishes loading. Redeeming during the spawn fade can eat a click.
- Copy BOOM from the Codes Hub so you do not type
boomfrom memory. - Decide whether you are about to rebirth. If the statue is affordable, redeem and open the Crate first.
You play on PC, Mac, iOS, Android, or Xbox. The ABX icon is easiest with a mouse or a precise tap. On a controller, the Shop method is often cleaner because you can scroll a list instead of hunting a small HUD button.
Method 1: ABX icon (top-right)
This is the fast path most code videos show.
- Look at the top-right corner of the HUD. You want the ABX icon, not the Roblox menu and not the experience invite bar.
- Click or tap it once. A small code window should open with a text field.
- Paste or type BOOM in all capitals. No spaces before or after.
- Press Redeem (or the equivalent confirm button on your device).
- Watch for Playtime Points and a Crate to land on the account. If the window closes with no toast, open inventory and confirm the Crate is there.
If the icon is missing, you are either still loading, in a shop overlay, or looking at the wrong corner. Try Method 2 before you assume the code is dead.
Method 2: Shop, scrolled to the bottom
Nuclear Fun also parked a box inside the Shop. Use this when the ABX button is buried on a phone or when a machine purchase UI is already open.
- Open the Shop from the usual left-side or HUD shop button.
- Scroll all the way down. The code field is not next to game passes at the top.
- Enter BOOM exactly.
- Confirm redeem.
- Close the Shop and check that the Crate is in inventory before you start clicking droppers again.
Both methods talk to the same backend. Redeeming twice on purpose will not double the Crate. A second attempt should say the code was already used, not that it expired.
Case sensitivity and typing rules
BOOM is case-sensitive. Community guides that print Boom as a headline are formatting, not the in-game string.
Rules that actually matter:
- All caps: BOOM.
- No spaces, no quotes, no emoji, no hyphen.
- Paste from this wiki instead of a Discord screenshot that might include a hidden newline.
- Do not add a year (
BOOM2026) or a game name (BOOMNUKE). Those are different strings and they are not on the Codes Hub.
If a video overlay shows extra codes such as NUCLEAR or RELEASE, treat them as unconfirmed until they appear on this wiki. Several May 2026 videos mixed in dead or invented rows. Only BOOM has stayed consistent across independent trackers.
Troubleshooting when redeem fails
Work the list in order. Most failures are typing, not a secret expiry.
- Invalid / does not exist. Check caps. Then check that you are in Nuke Your City and not a similarly named tycoon.
- Already redeemed. You are done. Look in inventory for the Crate and on the research-adjacent counters for Playtime Points.
- Nothing happens. Close every shop and rebirth prompt, use the other method (ABX versus Shop), and click Redeem once. Double-tapping can look like a miss.
- ABX missing. Use the Shop path. On Xbox, tab through the Shop list to the bottom field.
- Still failing after a patch. Codes can break when Nuclear Fun ships a quiet client change. Check the Updates Hub and the Discord before you farm rumor codes.
Offline explosive growth does not redeem codes for you. You must be in a live server. Leaving the game running in the background is not the same as having the ABX window focused.
When to redeem versus when to rebirth
Rebirth is the prestige wipe: machines, cash, fuse chain, and base layout go away in exchange for Research Points (about 5 per rebirth in player reports). Codes do not replace that statue. They just should not be left unclaimed when you are about to press it.
Redeem BOOM as soon as you join, even on a brand-new plot with only the free manual dropper. Playtime Points start helping the long-term track immediately. The Crate should be opened before a long offline stretch so a duration buff is not burning while you are away.
Delay the rebirth statue until the run is actually slow: nuclear dropper online, fuse chain near its high cap, rocket no longer jumping your cash enough to justify another machine upgrade. The statue itself is a large cash sink (around 1.5 million in player reports). Spending that money while a free Crate is unopened is the wrong order.
If you already rebirthed and then remembered the code, redeem anyway. BOOM is an account claim, not a per-run loot drop. You do not need the old fuse chain sitting on the plot.
After a successful redeem, go back to the Codes Hub in case a second string dropped, then spend the Crate with the rest of your rewards plan. New players should return to getting started and fill 100 EXP the honest way. Veterans should check rebirth so the next statue press is a planned reset, not a panic click after a lucky crate.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Where is the Nuke a City code box?
Two places: the ABX icon in the top-right HUD, or the Shop scrolled to the very bottom. Both accept BOOM. Full click order is on this page; the live string is on the Codes Hub.
Why does BOOM say invalid?
Almost always case or extra spaces. Type BOOM in all caps with nothing around it. If it still fails, try the other UI method and confirm you are in Nuke Your City, not another tycoon.
Can I redeem on mobile or Xbox?
Yes. The game is free-to-play on PC, Mac, iOS, Android, and Xbox. If the ABX icon is hard to tap, use the Shop method. VIP servers are not allowed, so you redeem on a normal 6-player server.
Should I redeem before I rebirth?
Yes. Claim the code and open the Crate first. Rebirth wipes machines, cash, fuse chain, and layout. Playtime Points you already own still help later. See rebirth for the wipe list.
Does redeeming twice give two crates?
No. The second attempt should report that BOOM was already used. Check inventory instead of spamming Redeem. Reward details are on code rewards.
