Nuke a City Machines Tier List

S–D ranks for droppers, fountain, fuse, and plot expands—not a list of every decorative pad.

Machines Tier List

Machine rank in Nuke a City is a spending order, not a museum catalog. You start with a free manual dropper, fill explosives to 100 EXP, load the rocket, and press Control for cash. That cash can buy more pads, or it can deepen the one pad that already feeds the rocket. This list assumes you want faster nukes on a 6-player Roblox server, not a prettier base. If you are still learning the first-hour buttons, park this page and open getting started first, then come back when you can see the expand cost.

Long 2026 videos mention a plasma dropper on later plot expands, after nuclear and poison. Until the live cash shop shows a stable tag, treat plasma as unconfirmed late land, not an S-tier pad you must rush. The Robux OP Dropper pass is a paid producer on gamepasses, not a cash-shop S slot.

What “best machine” actually means

A machine is S when pouring the next upgrade into it still beats buying a new object. Dropper levels can climb toward 1000, so “I bought it” is not the same as “I finished it.” Rocket upgrades in public reports sit near 19. Fuse chains often stall in the low 20s. Explosive visual tiers climb toward 24. Those numbers are why a fully fed nuclear dropper can look unfair next to a poison pad you placed and then forgot. They are also why spreading ten cheap levels across every unlocked slot feels busy and prints less EXP than one ugly stack.

S tier: nuclear dropper

The nuclear dropper is the late-game filter. Plot expand is what puts it on the pad, together with the rebirth statue and the poison dropper. Once it exists, restart videos and long cash dumps keep returning to the same conclusion: this one producer outruns the rest of the plot combined if you actually level it. Buy it when the expand is on the table. Then stop shopping. Nuclear is not a trophy you place at level 1. It is the machine you take toward the high upgrade cap while fountain and fuse wait for leftover cash.

If nuclear and poison cost similar cash after a rebirth, nuclear still wins. Poison is the side grade, not the replacement. The only time nuclear is not S is the stretch before you can expand—because the button is not on your plot yet.

A tier: poison dropper

Poison dropper unlocks on the same expand and looks louder than it plays. It is a real producer, and it is the correct second dropper once nuclear is funded. It is not the correct first dropper on that land. Creators who buy poison “because skull particles” and then starve nuclear spend the next hour wondering why the pad feels weak. Rank it A: you want it, you upgrade it when nuclear is no longer cheap, and you do not let it steal the cash spike that should have been 50 more nuclear levels.

B–C tier: starter, fountain, and fuse by stage

The manual dropper is S for about one session and then it is a B, then a C. It is free, it works offline, and it is the only honest EXP source until expand. Upgrade it hard in that window. After nuclear exists, leftover starter levels are a habit, not a plan.

Fountain is support. It helps fill when your main dropper is still catching up, and it remains useful as a second stream if you already maxed the important pad and still have cash burning a hole. Early, fountain upgrades compete with the expand. That fight should usually wait. Mid run, fountain is a respectable B. Late, it is C unless you enjoy watching two bars instead of one.

Fuse is the multiplier toy: insert an explosive, wait, claim double XP. Upgrades cut the wait. The chain cap sitting around the low 20s is the reason fuse is not a second nuclear. It is a B when you already have large explosives and can afford the lock. It is a C when you are still racing 100 EXP on a small dropper, because a fuse wait is time you could have spent launching. Skip-wait purchases exist; they are convenience, not a rank. Do not fuse your only ready nuke if the city is live and Control is free.

Extra plots versus one maxed machine

Raw extra plots lose to one maxed producer almost every time this list is used as a shopping list. The expand that unlocks nuclear, the rebirth statue, and poison is not “an extra plot.” That expand is a rank of its own: buy it when nuclear is the prize, not when you want more floor tiles. A second expand that only adds weak pads is D until nuclear, rocket, and the useful support machines are no longer cheap.

This is the same logic as research: do not buy every node because it is visible. After a reset, cash is scarce again. Rebuild the nuclear path, then poison, then leftover support. For the RP side of that decision, use the research upgrades tier list. For the click-by-click spend order, use the upgrade priority planner.

Stage cheat sheet

First hour: manual dropper is the whole list. Launch at 100 EXP. Do not window-shop fuse chains.

Expand window: land that grants nuclear is S. Poison is A after nuclear is placed. Statue is not a machine rank; it is the door to research.

Late plot: nuclear to deep upgrades, poison as the funded second, fountain and fuse as leftover multipliers. Rocket toward the reported ~19 cap only after the dropper that feeds it is not starving.

If a new pad appears in a patch and it does not beat nuclear at equal cash, it starts at B until the numbers say otherwise. Flavor is not a tier.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is the nuclear dropper always S tier?

It is S as soon as plot expand can place it. Before that unlock, the free manual dropper is the only machine worth heavy levels.

Should I max poison before nuclear?

No. Poison is a strong A pickup on the same expand, but nuclear still wins when both are hungry for the same cash.

Where do fountain and fuse sit?

B when they support a funded main dropper, C when they compete with expand or nuclear levels. Fuse is a multiplier, not a replacement producer.

Are extra plots better than upgrading one machine?

The expand that unlocks nuclear is required. Extra pads after that usually lose to stacking the best dropper toward the high upgrade cap.

What caps should I keep in mind?

Droppers can climb toward 1000, rockets toward about 19, fuse chains around the low 20s, and explosive visuals near 24 in public reports.
